Bed Adhesion 101: Fixing First-Layer Problems for Good

If your prints pop off mid-job or never stick at all, the cause is almost always one of four things: a dirty bed, a bad Z offset, the wrong temperature, or a draft.

Clean first

Wash the plate with dish soap and warm water. Skin oils are the number one adhesion killer, and isopropyl alcohol alone doesn't always cut them.

Then dial in Z

Print a single-layer square and adjust live. You want lines that are slightly squished and just touching — not round, not transparent.
